Julian Rich Testifies in $5 Million Verdict

Earlier this month, the jury awarded the plaintiff $5 million in a lawsuit against a nursing home in Kentucky, $1 million for pain and suffering and $4 million for punitive damages. Our nursing home, senior care and postacute care expert, Julian Rich, testified as to numerous deviations from the standard of care as the plaintiff died from a choking incident, the third over several weeks.

He also testified last year against the same facility which had evicted a resident who died three weeks later as a result of the facility’s actions. The Jury awarded $2.2 million to the plaintiff.
